Swiss-based Dufour Aerospace is developing a family of tilt-wing platforms to make future manned and unmanned electric and hybrid electric aircraft a reality. Dufour’s prototypes have already flown many hundreds of flights – both manned and unmanned.
We are seeking a Systems Test Engineer to operate and manage a growing set of test rigs for our fleet of aircraft, ensuring their functionality and reliability. The job scope includes low-power functional testing of Avionics, to Iron Bird & Powertrain integration testing. The position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cutting-edge technology in a dynamic startup environment, contributing directly to the advancement of automated hybrid-electric flight.
Prerequisite: Background in Engineering with hands-on experience, passion for aviation, right to work in Switzerland.
Tasks
Your tasks include:
- build up, maintain & operate a growing range of system test rigs
- ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- design and execute test plans to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
- document test results and provide recommendations for improvement
- contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
Requirements
Requirements
- background in Electrical Engineering or similar
- hands-on experience with Laboratory Equipment (Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Multimeter…)
- hands-on experience with PCB handling, soldering, crimping
- programming knowledge (Python, C/C++)
- structured and analytical thinking
Advantageous
- hands-on experience with 3D printing, drilling, sawing
- experience with high-power applications up to 10kW
- professional experience in the aerospace industry
