GNC Engineer, SLAM Focus
KEF Robotics is working on some new and very exciting projects! To accommodate our growing team, we are in search of a GNC engineer with a SLAM focus to help solve navigation issues in GPS-denied and uncooperative environments.
What you’re responsible for
- Develop state-of-the-art autonomous drones capable of flying rapidly through challenging environments
- Research and implement novel guidance, navigation, and control (GNC)
- Optimize algorithms for real-time computation on embedded platforms
- Improve physics based simulation environments and validate autonomous behavior within simulation
What we are looking for
- Empathetic and collaborative team player
- Proficiency with C++ and Python
- Experience with robotics state estimation and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms
- Experience programming for embedded environments
- Familiarity with Linux and Linux tools
- Experience developing computer vision algorithms
- Familiarity with nonlinear optimization techniques
Bonus Skills
- Machine learning and experience programming within a popular ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc)
- GPU programming (CUDA / OpenCL)
- Field and lab testing experience
- Familiarity with ROS / ROS 2 (Robot Operating System)
- Unreal Engine / Unity experience
- Julia programming experience
- Clear, concise technical writing skills
