Parallel Flight Firefly

We are ramping up our testing and evaluation activities at Parallel Flight. This includes various payload v. time tests, fully autonomous runs and more.

On our way to meeting various performance objectives, Firefly recently executed a continuous 80-minute (1 hour, 20 min.) hover with an 80 lb payload.

In this milestone flight, Firefly is undergoing reliability and endurance testing in anticipation of upcoming customer demos. The 80 lb payload is representative of an operational payload weight for two missions:

1) prescribed burn with a fully loaded IGNIS-4K and

2) pest eradication carrying a spreader loaded with bait.

Ongoing testing will continue to validate Firefly’s heavy lift capabilities for wildfire support, precision ag, defense and logistics applications in the near future. We look forward to sharing more as we gear up for customer demos!
