CaddxFPV’s Walksnail Avatar HD system becomes increasingly attractive with every new release. The new Avatar GT digital VTX, with a transmission power of up to 2 watts, allows you to achieve ultra-long FPV flights.
The Walksnail Avatar GT kit features a dual antenna system and comes in a combo with the Avatar HD Pro FPV antenna (it is also compatible with the 4K Moonlight camera). The digital VTX can be powered from 11.1V to 25.2V (3-6s). The unit measures 34*34*20mm and weighs about 42 grams. It has 25.5*25.5mm and 20*20mm mounting patterns.
It is equipped with a Micro SD card slot, which supports up to 256GB of storage capacity. This enables uninterrupted recording of HD flight videos in either 1080p or 720p resolution. Its internal ceramic antenna optimizes performance during low-power mode, minimizing power consumption and heat generation. The unit also has an external fan to prevent overheating.
The Walksnail Avatar GT features improved resistance to GPS interference, ensuring a more stable and reliable flight experience even in challenging environments.

Tom Austin used the new Walksnail Avatar GT kit to obtain an insane range of 55 km (34 miles). He didn’t mention in his test video what setup was used for the ground station because the VTX and the VRX are both very important factors in achieving such distances.
